AM PRO – Denmark
AM-PRO is an umbrella organization for professional occupational safety and health associations and organisations.
The main goal of AM-PRO is to strengthen the cooperation between the members to improve the professional quality of the development of the occupational safety and health in the Danish companies.
The objectives of AM-PRO are:
- To place occupational safety and health policy issues at the political agenda more efficiently than the member organisations can do individually.
- To strengthen the role of occupational safety and health professionals in relation to the preventive occupational health and safety efforts at company level.
- To strengthen the influence of the professional occupational safety and health organisations in the society.
- To promote the qualifications of occupational safety and health professionals and support high quality training and educations such as master courses.
- To strengthen international cooperation between occupational safety and health professionals and other relevant institutions such as EU-OSHA.
As an umbrella organization AM-PRO has the following member organisations:

- Arbejdsmiljoeraadgiverne – preventive service providers and occupational health services www.bamr.dk
- Center for Studier i Arbejdsliv – workinglife researchers at universities and private research and development companies www.arbejdsliv.org
- Dansk Selskab for Arbejds- og Miljoemedicin – occupational health doctors and psychologists mostly at the hospitals’ occupational health departments www.dasam.dk
- IDA Arbejdsmiljoe – occupational safety and health professionals and other with a professional interest for occupational safety and health www.ida.dk/viden-og-netvaerk/netvaerk-oversigt/ledelse-proces-og-arbejdsmiljoe/ida-arbejdsmiljoe
AM-PRO arrange high level workshops for occupational safety and health professionals, publicize articles and magazines and have a mobile AM-PRO presentation we use at exhibitions and conferences. AM-Pro is partner of the big national conference for occupational safety and health professionals every year in the city of Nyborg.
AM-PRO has a continuous dialog with the social partners, The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Research and the Danish occupational safety and health authorities. AM-PRO is member of the National EU-OSHA Focal Point Network.
