Shop workers are vulnerable at work as they face a number of safety and health risks caused by repetitive motions, reaching, heavy lifting, long periods of standing, slips and trips, and aggression from customers.

To help workplaces identify and manage such risks, ten Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) tools have been developed and are regularly updated by partners in Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Latvia and Slovenia.

These tools are designed to support the risk assessment processes for small shops, fish shops, supermarkets and florists.
