Woodworking and carpentry are sectors going along with high-risks. Workers are exposed to mechanical risks stemming for example from falling trees and dealing with heavy machinery. However the list of risks is much longer including aa variety of chemical risks, excessive noise and wood dust, working at height and in awkward positions, etc.

Correctly identifying these risks in micro and small woodworking enterprises is key to successfully tackling and managing them. Thus, our Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) national partners have released several tools contributing to the risk assessment process in this sector in different countries. One more tool for Greek professionals is under development.
